GERDMate is on a mission to improve the lives of millions of people living with chronic acid reflux (GERD). GERD affects up to 20% of the global population, yet most tools available today are reactive, not preventative. We’re building a first-of-its-kind health platform that uses AI and smart data to help people track symptoms, identify triggers, and take control of their digestive health.

Tech Lead / Co-Founder (React Native + Expo)
The Role
We’re looking for a Tech Lead who can step in as a builder and a leader. Someone who loves React Native + Expo but also cares about shaping a product from the ground up. This role can grow into a co-founder level, with 15% – 17% equity for the right person.
What You’ll Do
- Own the React Native + Expo mobile app: architecture, code, deployments.
- Make key technical decisions (state management, APIs, security).
- Build MVP features fast and iterate based on real user feedback.
- Set up CI/CD pipelines, testing, and release management.
- Work closely with founders, designers, and data scientists.
- Lead and mentor future engineers as the team grows.
What You Bring
- Solid track record with React Native + Expo, shipped apps in production.
- Strong skills in TypeScript, API integrations, mobile DevOps.
- Comfort with early-stage startup pace: fast iteration, hands-on problem solving.
- Interest in health-tech, AI/ML, or data-driven products.
- Leadership potential. You’ll help set engineering culture from day one.
